1990's Colorado Junkers & Abstracts | 3 Images
During the 1990's Clifford lived at his home, a house called "Riverrun", in Old Snowmass, Colorado.
The earliest works of this time were more representational and the later ones became
abstract. He was intrigued by the numerous abandoned and junked vehicles that dotted the
rural landscapes. Rather than try to paint an exact representation of the model of car or truck, the exercise was
to use their basic shapes and colors to create loose blocks of paint.
